University graphical elements (wordmark, logo, phoenix, etc.) are controlled by Marketing & University Communications. The graphical elements referred to on this page are for web use only, any specific questions, permissions, or print quality graphic requests should be directed to that office. University graphical elements may be used for departmental, special project and faculty web sites. All other web use should be approved by Marketing and University Communications.

Templates

The Web Services Office has created nine different University templates that can be used for department, faculty, or student organization web sites. Below you will find thumbnail images of these designs. Click on the image to see the actual design.

All of these templates are built using Web standards and cascading stylesheets. The content, navigation, and number of pages are up to you. The stylesheet controls the page layout, color, and backgrounds. These styles can be modified if you have knowledge of CSS.

To use one of these designs for your site click on the download files link next to the design you like. Save the zip file to your computer and then extract the files to a folder on your computer or Web share to begin working. Each zip file contains an html file, images folder with images, stylesheets and a dynamic web template (dwt file) that can be used in Dreamweaver or FrontPage. Using a dwt file will allow you to make a modification to a part of the page, such as the navigation, and have it changed across all of the pages that use the template. In addition to these templates, departments can also meet with the University Webmaster to discuss a customized design. Some customized design work may involve a charge, but that will be discussed during the initial meeting.
