Entrepreneurial Training Program - Door County

The Door County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) and UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center are proud to sponsor the seventh annual NxLevel Entrepreneurial Training course in Door County. This course covers topics such a Research, Marketing, Organizational Matters, Financial Planning and Projections, and Managing Growth, and culminates with the creation of a comprehensive business plan for each participant. Every Monday evening, February 2 through April 6, 2009, course participants will gain the knowledge and skills to create a plan for the ultimate success of their business.

The cost is only $250, including books.  The course usually costs $1000, however, the Wisconsin Department of Commerce and the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs Network are offering an Entrepreneurial Training Grant to qualified applicants that covers 75% of the tuition.

Entrepreneurial Training Program - Green Bay

In partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Commerce, the UWGB Small Business Development Center provides you an exceptional training opportunity. A grant from the Department of Commerce allows us to subsidize 75% of the $1000 course fee. With this assistance, your fee is only $250. Learn from the experts on topics including personnel, target marketing, market research, the best legal structure for your business, sources of financing, and cash flow budgeting.

Preparing a business plan is the basis for this program. Participants are required to complete a business plan within 90 days of completion of the course. UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center counselors guide participants through completing the plan at no additional cost.

The NxLeveL™ Entrepreneurs course is a 10-session intensive training program. The course focuses on teaching the art of better business practices while producing a comprehensive business plan to guide your business expansion decisions and activities. You will learn the following as you prepare a written business plan:

  • Start business planning.
  • Organize and better manage your business.
  • Identify opportunities and market your business.
  • Understand and get your business financials in order.
  • Get funding for your business.
  • Write a detailed, comprehensive business plan.
  • Network with other entrepreneurs.
  • Develop a network with small business support services.

    ETP will be offered at the Business Assistance Center in Green Bay on Tuesday Evenings, Feb. 12 – April 15, 2008. $250, with successful application to the Wisconsin Department of Commerce for partial tuition waiver with successful completion of business plan. Full cost is $1,000. Fee includes light dinner and materials.
