We take special pride in connecting learning to life as Green Bay’s University of Wisconsin. Our region enjoys rich ethnic diversity, impressive natural resources, and a bustling economic landscape. For us, that’s a natural learning laboratory. Whether identifying a new species of insect, helping a town with urban planning, or working in the local schools, our students and faculty are out in the community doing real-life problem-solving. That brings learning to life in creative and exciting ways. We also connect learning to life on a global level, through international exchanges, service learning, roundtables, and travel courses. As a result, our faculty, staff, and graduates are “can do” people. They know how to solve complex, real-world problems using a variety of perspectives and knowledge, and how to be creative in adapting to real-world challenges and changing circumstances.
I encourage you to explore our Web site and visit our campus—a 700- acre bay shore property that includes a 9-hole golf course, an arboretum with miles of trails and bike paths, and a world-class performing arts center. Please share your comments, questions, or suggestions by emailing me at laatschw@uwgb.edu.
